About

I am currently the Assistant Director of Crescent Hill Gallery in Mississauga.  Through my work at the gallery I support the work of other artists and promote the value of original artwork for home and public spaces.  You can find Crescent Hill Gallery at 2575 Dundas St. West, Mississauga, ON, in the Home and Design Center just East of Winston Churchill Blvd.

I started out as a jewellery artist and eventually found the size of the work limited what I really wanted to do. Even though I branched out to create larger, sculptural, wearable works of art, I found that in the end I needed something more. Turns out it was a larger canvas! Through lots of experience and experimentation I eventually developed the technique I use to create my tiles, which I  call Kiln-Blown Glass, and it’s been a much greater outlet for my creative style. With a bigger kiln added to my studio I can work on a much larger scale and focus on my designs, as well as actually working with glass rather than the many other tasks associated with creating jewellery that took my time away from it.

Because my kilns and equipment are specially built for my kiln-blown sculptural work, I can no longer take custom orders for specialty art that is not already in my online catalog.  I can do custom sizes, colours, and I’m willing to create new special designs, but I will only be creating work that is kiln-blown as you can see on my website catalog.

I am currently focusing on developing my techniques for kiln-blown glass further, as well as my new line of platters with designs that originate in traditional quilt patterns.  I would be happy to take custom orders for special pieces that follow with my current lines of work, as well as commissions for public art installations for larger venues.
